Rolex manufactured Ref 3529 in a very limited series between 1939 and 1942, a time when rectangular and square watches were very fashionable. At the time of its production, this was the smallest chronograph wristwatch available by this or any firm. The vast majority of vintage chronograph watches were manufactured in circular cases and the Ref 3529 remains one of the very few square cased chronograph models ever made. the stainless steal case is two-body, polished and brushed, sharp angles, domed crystal with straight lugs. Champagne dial with painted Roman numerals and indexes, auxiliary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer graduation for the seconds, at the centre, spiral tachometric scale in painted Arabic numerals. Baton black steel hands. M. Cal. 10 1/2 ''' rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, dial, case and movement signed.
