A very rare Cartier yellow gold watch from 1940. At first glance it has the familiar rectangular tank characteristics however, what really appeal to the connoisseur is the crown. The crown is flat and positioned on the upper back case corner of the watch allowing half the crown to exceed the case and yet by hidden by an imposing yellow gold bezel continued with the design of the bracelet. Altogether a very original and beautiful watch.
